Eating tapas in Madrid means trying foods from all over Spain, and we'll have an opportunity to try a few of those on the Madrid Tapas Tour. We'll take you on a stroll through the city, introducing you to culinary traditions from all of the different regions and point out some great little places for tapa hopping while you're here. As we unravel Madrid's culinary mysteries we'll help you develop a good sense of ordering and knowledge of the most typical dishes (jamon iberico, aceitunas, ambas al ajillo, calamares, patatas bravas, croquetas, albondigas).

Though Madrid is Spain's capital and largest city, it often feels like a smaller town. Its friendly locals and welcoming atmosphere make visitors return again and again. The Prado Museum is a gem for art lovers--as are the Reina Sofia and Thyssen museums and the Royal Palace--and the city's many public parks and squares invite strolling and relaxing at any time of year. Madrid is famous for its nightlife, and options range from fabulous restaurants to theater and concerts, from flamenco shows and tapas to all-night dancing.
