Perhaps one of Logroño's top attractions, along with its wine, is its tapas scene, and the Logroño Tapas Tour is your introduction to this fun and delicious experience. The center of the action is on Calle Laurel, where the whole city gathers (especially on weekends) to socialize and taste each bar's specialties--with a glass of Rioja wine, of course.

The capital of La Rioja has a lovely old quarter featuring the Santa María la Redonda cathedral on the Plaza del Mercado; the old stone archway through which pilgrims pass on their way to Santiago de Compostela; and the Mudéjar tower of the San Bartolomé church. The main street through Logroño's old quarter is Calle Portales, and the surrounding streets, including Calle San Juan and Calle Laurel, are great for tapa hopping in the evenings, followed by relaxing in the Espolón or Ebro parks the next morning.
