Our selection of Madrid hotel
is based in our experience as well as clients' comments and recommendations. Most of these hotels have been renovated recently. They are all very well located, that means walking distance from activities, bars, restaurants and sites. Â Our purpose here is to recommend a few hotels that meet our criteria of quality, location and liked by clients.
We have classified them by type of hotel first and at the bottom of the article by area or the center.
Smaller, family run, middle price range hotels:Victoria 4
, Best Western Carlos V
, Best Western Los Condes, Aguaria Negresco
(smaller rooms but great location and very clean), Best Western Arosa
Larger hotels with all amenities
Hotel Preciados
is a very recommended one of Callao. Vincci capitol is on an Art deco building right on Gran via, Vincci 66, the very centrally located right on Gran via Best Western Hotel Atlantico,
Classy luxury hotels:
The classics of the Classy and luxury hotels are the Palace and the Ritz hotel sor the less well located Gran Melia Fenix. A smaller version with lots of charm is Hotel Meninas
, rigt off Opera square. Near Plaza de Colon there, in a quieter area, there is a great and very elegant hotel called Hotel Orfila
.
Modern and trendy Hotels off Santa Ana square:
I like Vincci Soho on calle Prado and the more expensive Hotel Me on Plaza de Sta Ana.
Off the center (you cannot walk to sites from here)In the Goya area, close to Corte Ingles, and all the shopping of this upper middle class neighborhood, you can find hotels like Vincci Soma, Hotel Adler
Near the Airport:
Hotel Axor Barajas, Hotel Axor Feria
