Madrid is a mecca for Bullfighters. Success in Las Ventas bullring means a straight shot to stardom since Madrid aficionados are more demanding than others. In this 4-hour Toro Tour we'll check out bars with all kinds of memorabilia and the places people have been talking about bulls over cerveza since Hemingway. We'll visit the Bullfight museum and the bullring and have a typical "toro" lunch in a very special place. While we will not go to a corrida, an expert on bulls will share her stories and passion for this deep-rooted part of Spanish society.

Built in neo-Mudéjar style and officially opened in 1934, Las Ventas is the largest in Spain and seats up to 23,000 aficionados. The season runs from March to October, with the San Isidro festival in mid-May being the highpoint. The Museo Taurino houses bullfighting memorabilia and artifacts related with Las Ventas' history.
