A recently renovated two-bedroom apartment with one bathroom, living room and kitchen. The apartment is on the ground floor and accesed by a few low steps, but is very sunny and quiet and has a small interior patio. The living room has a comfortable sofa bed, a television and WiFi connection; the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. One of the bedrooms has a 150cm double bed and the other has a trundle bed that converts in to a double bed. The sofa in the living room also converts into a double bed. The bathroom is also fully equipped with shower and bidet.

Maricarmen lives in the building and provides a way for you to really connect with the locals. She's very friendly and helpful, telling you the ins and outs of the apartment or showing you around the neighborhood. She's always available if you have any problems, and you can even arrange to have her cook meals for you if you want.

The apartment is situated just across the river from the historic center of Madrid, in a residential neighborhood near the Puente de Segovia bridge and with views of the Royal Palace. There are many shops and restaurants nearby, including two very close supermarkets. Close by are a large shopping center with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a large gym, a go-kart track and a bowling alley; and the Parque de San Isidro, center of festivities for the Patron Saint's fiesta in mid-May. Within 10-15 minutes walking you'll find the beautiful Campo del Moro gardens, the Príncipe Pio transportation and shopping center, the Vicente Calderón football stadium and the Casa de Campo, Madrid's largest park with its zoo, aquarium, amusement park and convention center. Even the lively La Latina neighborhood, with its multitude of tapas bars, is only about 20 minutes away on foot.

The apartment is well-communicated on public transportation. The Puerta del Ángel Metro station (line 6) is within 10 minutes walking and connects you to the center in just two Metro stops. There are also several bus lines (one just around the corner, two a few minutes away) that whisk you straight into the center. At the Príncipe Pío transportation hub you can also catch buses to Segovia.
