Excursion to the Alhambra8+ hours |
Only a two hours from your hotel in a comfortable private car, Granada is easy to get to from Málaga, and the Excursion to the Alhambra takes you there. The Alhambra is perhaps one of Spain's most famous monuments, and justifiably so. The Nazare palace's delicate and elegant architecture has been spellbinding visitors all the way back to the Catholic Monarchs. This palace, the lavish Generalife gardens--regarded by the sultans as their mini paradise--and King Charles V's renaissance palace all come together to create an unforgettable and fascinating visit. We'll have enough time to tour the palace and gardens as well as take a look at Albayzin moorish quarter. A draw for poets and writers throughout the centuries, Granada holds a special appeal that tends to surprise visitors. Very romantic, with its own unique beauty, the city offers spectacular views from several points including the Albayzin, the old Moorish quarter. Anywhere you walk, you can feel the grand presence of the Alhambra looming above as if keeping watch over the city. Referred to as the last stronghold of the Moors, its historical importance is summarized in the Royal Chapel where the Catholic Monarchs are buried.

"This worked out well - Our tour guide's command of English was very good. The guided tour was informative, and well timed, so we had enough time at each point to explore, take photos, etc. I would recommend this tour to others."Â --Denise, Denver, Colorado, October 2007 Read more testimonials
