Step through the looking-glass into the wonderful world of Salvador Dalí on this fantastic Excursion to Dalí Museums from Barcelona. Arguably one of the most fascinating artists of the 20th Century, Dalí is known for his surrealist art and excentric personality, both of which come through in his home in Portlligat, near Cadaqués, and the Theatre-Museum he constructed in Figueres, where he is buried.

Described as "the largest surrealist object in the world," the Dalí's Theatre-Museum, complete with egg-shaped roof ornaments and a Mae West room, houses one of the broadest collections of his own work, as well as works by other artists Dalí wanted to include. Certainly a labor of love, the Museum is pure Dalí, rebuilt from the ashs of an old theater into one of the most unique and personal museums you will ever encounter.

For even more insight into the artist, we'll also visit his home near Cadaqués. Dalí lived and worked here with his wife Gala from 1930 until his death in 1982, and during that time converted it into a space unmistakably his own. What began as a small fisherman's hut is today a labyrinthine set of rooms filled with the unusual objects and collections that Dalí created and accumulated over the years.
